A rare two-sided uncut printer's proof for the Japanese release of Octopussy. When cut, this sheet would have provided eight Japanese B5 or 'Chirashi' mini posters for use as flyers in cinema lobbies to promote current and future releases. Popular with Japanese collectors, Chirashi often take the form of a miniature replica of the movie's poster, with information printed on the reverse.
The thirteenth instalment in EON Productions' James Bond series and Roger Moore's sixth outing as 007, Octopussy saw the suave spy assigned to investigate the murder of agent 009 who was assassinated in East Germany clutching a fake Fabergé egg. The trail leads Bond to uncover an elaborate international jewel-smuggling operation, headed by the mysterious Octopussy via her travelling circus troupe, which is being used to disguise a nuclear attack by a renegade Soviet General on a U.S. Air Force Base.
