Studio Ghibli's fantastical animation My Neighbour Totoro, first released in Japan over thirty years ago, has become a beloved classic, and the titular Totoro a cultural icon. Set in post-war rural Japan, the enchanting tale follows the adventures of two young sisters as they befriend the mystical woodland spirits at their new country home, while their mother lies ill in hospital. This colourful poster for the original Japanese release features a burst of key scenes from the acclaimed anime.
