In one of his most famous roles at the pinnacle of his career, Steve McQueen is the essence of cool as tough cop Frank Bullitt in this action-packed 1968 thriller, featuring one of movie history's most memorable and influential car chases through the streets of San Francisco. This poster dates from a 1974 re-release in Japan and is almost identical to the original release poster with the exception of the studio logo. Two versions of the poster were printed - one on glossy and one on matte paper - this is the glossy style. The design is notable for featuring Bullitt's 1968 Highland Green Ford Mustang GT 390.

Conservation backed on linen. Prior to backing this poster had one vertical and one horizontal fold with spots of creasing along the vertical fold, bumps to corners and minor nicks to edges, the largest a ⅜in. split at lower edge. Backing has smoothed and diminished these minor imperfections. Image and colours otherwise excellent.
