Pooches Pongo and Perdita proudly perch among their pups on this popping pink B2 poster for a 1970 Japanese re-release of Walt Disney's animated adventure One Hundred and One Dalmatians. Based on the 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith, Disney's 17th animated feature film followed the dognap of a litter of Dalmatian puppies by the fur-crazed Cruella de Vil. In rescuing their adorable brood from the villainous Cruella, Pongo and Perdita save and subsequently adopt 84 additional puppies, bringing the total Dalmatians to 101. Originally released in 1961 to great box office success, the enduring family film later spawned a live-action adaptation and sequel.
