Featuring a montage of Tom Jung's and the Hildebrandt brothers' designs for the US poster campaign, this poster was issued for the first release of Star Wars in Japan in 1978. Later retitled Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, George Lucas' 1977 space epic kicked off one of the greatest film franchises of all time and became a pop culture phenomenon that is still going strong forty years later.
Condition
Very good (B+)
Unfolded, not backed. Wavy undulation to paper due to being softly tri-folded with a stack of other posters at one time. Nicks and creases to edges including some minor surface colour loss along left edge. Small crease to 'W' in 'WARS' and very soft handling dings throughout. Image and colours otherwise excellent.
