A promotional banner poster printed by Warner Bros to promote the November 1977 US release of the Sex Pistols only studio album Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols in record stores. Despite the enduring controversy that surrounded the band, Rolling Stone praised the album as just about the most exciting rock & roll record of the Seventies. British artist Jamie Reid has become synonymous with the Sex Pistols and pretty much defined the image of punk in the UK. His cut-and-paste aesthetic, featuring letters seemingly cut from newspaper headlines in the style of a ransom note, developed from his interest in radical politics. Reid designed this banner poster in the dayglo pink and green colours of the US LP cover, which differed from the yellow and pink of the UK version.
