Three months after the release of his critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful debut album Greetings, From Asbury Park, N.J., Bruce Springsteen was offered a couple of gigs opening for The Beach Boys in April 1973, at the Scope Arena in Norfolk Virginia and the Omni Coliseum in Atlanta, Georgia. Featuring an image of the Beach Boys, with Brian Wilson shown second from the left, this unusual handbill promoted the 11th April appearance at the Omni. Not only did the legendary Springsteen appear as the third billed act, below local funk band Mother's Finest, but his name was misspelled as "Bruce Springstin," demonstrating just how little known he was at this time outside of the East Coast. Taking place at a time when The Beach Boys were at a pretty low ebb in popularity in America, prior to their 1974 resurgence, the Atlanta show proved a financial disaster for the promoter, with less than 20% of an available 16,000 tickets sold.

Unfolded, not backed. A few light bumps to corners and handling creases to edges. Uneven toning to paper and a tiny brown spot to upper edge.
