One of the few re-release US One Sheets that is preferred to the original by collectors due to its superior artwork, this eye-catching poster was issued for a 1964 re-release of the 1961 Classic drama The Hustler, starring Paul Newman as small-time pool shark "Fast Eddie" Felson, determined to make it to the top. The film received both popular and critical acclaim on release, earning nine Academy Award nominations, including best film and best actor for Newman, though he wouldn't win until he reprised the role 25 years later for Martin Scorsese's The Color of Money.

Excellent (A-)
Conservation backed on linen with no restoration. Backing has smoothed and diminished three horizontal machine folds (as issued) and a few minor nicks to edges. Tiny loss to tip of upper right corner. Green printer's ink smudge to yellow cue. Image and colours otherwise excellent.
