A simply superb poster by Andrzej Krauze for Krzysztof Kieslowski‘s 1979 satirical comedy Camera Buff (Amator). Set in late 1970s Communist Poland, the film followed a humble Kraków factory worker's growing obsession with amateur filmmaking at the expense of his formerly contented family life. The first of Kieslowski’s films to prove successful outside of Poland, Camera Buff went on to win the grand prize at the Moscow Film Festival.
Condition
Excellent (A-)
Backed on linen in the European style with no restoration whatsoever. Prior to backing this poster had one light horizontal fold and minor nicks and creases to corners and edges. Backing has smoothed the fold so that it is virtually invisible. One small faint brown spot to upper right corner in white portion. Image and colour excellent.
