The ninth film in EON Productions' James Bond series, The Man with the Golden Gun was the fourth and final Bond film directed by Guy Hamilton and the last to be co-producted by Harry Saltzman. Roger Moore's second outing as 007 culminated in a pistol duel between the suave spy and Christopher Lee's cunning assassin Francisco Scaramanga to recover the Solex Agitator, a device that can harness the power of the sun. Several kung fu scenes and a predominantly Asian location capitalised on the current craze for martial arts movies. The Australian Daybill utilised the same Robert McGinnis artwork as the British and US poster campaigns, which placed the viewer in the role of the mysterious titular villain, aiming a shining single-shot golden gun directly at 007.
