A scarce promotional poster issued by Sire Records in 1977 to support the release of the Ramones third studio album Rocket To Russia. Released on 4th November 1977, Rocket To Russia was the Ramones last to be recorded with all four original members, before drummer Tommy Ramone left the band in 1978. Screenprinted in shocking pink and black, the poster reuses the album's cover art, which was directed by John Gillespie with a photograph by Danny Fields.
Condition
Very good (B+)
Backed on linen in the European style with no restoration whatsoever. Prior to backing this poster had one vertical and one horizontal machine fold as issued, multiple staple holes to corners and lower edge, nicks and creases to corners and edges and some light creases to artwork throughout. Backing has smoothed and diminished these imperfections, improving the poster's appearance for display. Image and colours otherwise excellent.
